Doing Our Best
Our performance and achievement will depend on how hard we've work on something. If we work hard, definitely we'll do good. It's as simple as that. But, if we're not prepared, we'll flunk it just like that. It's pure logic. An example that's happening to me is, sometimes, I'm not in the mood of playing the piano, and if that happens, I can't finish the piece of music soon. The more time will be delayed because of not perfecting that piece of music. But if I do play the piano regularly, and fight that feeling of "not in the mood" or tired, I think I can ace it just fine. Well, the point is, whatever things we are doing, just do it your best, and when the time comes, you'll realize how much you've achieved and you'll smile for all that hard work you put on all this time.
Doing our best doesn't mean you have to be perfect. It means putting yourself in your highest effort both, mind and body, to a particular thing. And when you do that, you know that you won't regret any of what you did because you did everything you can to your own limits. And that feels good. This applies to almost everything, not just to piano studies I'm having, but also even simple things, like, baking, cooking, drawing, and much much more.
It is not easy to be able to do our best all the time. I'm very much aware of the condition of our emotional changes. There are times we are not in the mood, and that matters a lot sometimes; especially when you can't control your emotion. I think, the best thing we can do is, to let our emotion flow, but to control it too, so it won't go beyond the limit. Rational thinking is important in order to take control of the mind, and also motivating the spirit.
